My family traveled from Pennsylvania, and although the host was unaware of the problem until I reported it, it affected our peace of mind throughout our five-day stay. We always choose clean, well-maintained properties, so it was disappointing to see bugs every day. I found myself constantly checking our belongings to avoid bringing any home. The host did send an exterminator immediately, which I appreciated. However, I believe this should have been addressed before guests arrived. I understand things can sometimes be overlooked, but I wanted to share my experience so future guests don’t have to deal with the same issue. First, as nice as the house was (and it was great) the furniture needs to be updated. The couch is broken and sunken in on one corner, and the couch upstairs also felt pretty old. An easy fix, but a necessary one. Also, the patio furniture was rough. The lounge chair was unusable as the fabric was all ripped and torn (i saw this mentioned in past reviews when booking and had hoped they replaced it.) Lastly, the AC busted our last day there and the house was close to 90 degrees. They did send someone out, but due to it being late, the maintenance guy couldn’t get the part needed so we were out of luck. This wasn’t anyone’s fault, just took away. Everything else was amazing. Great location. Great overall home (minus the couches and patio furniture.) Beds were super comfortable, hosts were very responsive. Quick walk to the smaller pool/tiki bar/waterslide." (8/5)
